24/7 Emergency & Highway First-Aid Trauma Centre

Sundaram Arulrhaj Hospital operates a 24/7 emergency trauma care unit alongside a rapid ambulance service (1033) across high-risk highway corridors. The facility delivers immediate medical intervention and critical accident response to save lives during emergency situations.

Free Medical & First-Aid Center for Conch Divers and Fishermen

Sundaram Arulrhaj Hospital inaugurated a dedicated healthcare center in Thoothukudi to support the local fishing community. The center offers free medical services, safety support, specialized health monitoring, and first-aid treatment for conch diving workers.

Indian Alcohol Policy Alliance (IAPA)

Founded with key leadership from Chairman Dr. S. Arulrhaj, the Indian Alcohol Policy Alliance (IAPA) is a non-governmental organization affiliated with the Global Alcohol Policy Alliance (GAPA). Established to address alcohol-related health, social, and economic challenges, the alliance submitted key policy recommendations to the Government of India in 2014 to drive evidence-based advocacy, intervention, and capacity building.

Initiative 04

Healthy India Alliance (HIA) / India NCD Alliance

Established in 2015 with Dr. S. Arulrhaj as a founding member, the Healthy India Alliance (HIA)—also recognized as the India NCD Alliance—is a multi-sectoral civil society coalition. The alliance brings together health and non-health civil society organizations (CSOs) to combat major non-communicable diseases (NCDs), including cardiovascular diseases, cancer, chronic respiratory illness, and diabetes, while promoting mental health integration and air pollution mitigation.
