Dr. S. Arulrhaj is a Renowned Physician of nearly fifty years of Dedicated Service in the field of Medicine.

He is also a Health Policy Strategist, Medical Educator, and Public Health Leader whose career uniquely bridges clinical excellence.

He is a Pioneer in Developing Family medicine & wants GOI to delineate the Health system as Primary, Secondary & Tertiary.

His work in Cardiology and Diabetes had contributed significantly in combating India's growing burden of noncommunicable diseases. It has been presented at the Global Cardiovascular Diabetes Congress (2017, 2018 and 2019).

He is the Pioneer in advancing Thyroid-Cardiac Medicine — the first in India to establish relationship between Thyroid and Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr. S. Arulrhaj has created a lasting National Impact by holding highest offices in medicine and National President of Indian Medical Association (IMA), Association of Physicians of India (API) and Commonwealth Medical Association (CMA).

He is the first Indian to become the President of Commonwealth.

Dr. S. Arulrhaj has authored multiple Scientific Publications and Several Textbook Chapters and serves on the editorial boards of leading Peer-Reviewed Journals. Through the IMA he has led large-scale rural outreach programs across Tamil Nadu.

Dr. S. Arulrhaj is the recipient of several national and international honors including the Dr. B. C. Roy National Award & the Gold Medal awarded by the Madurai University. He has also received honorary Fellowships from several International Medical Societies including the Royal College of Surgeons of Glasgow & London in recognition of his outstanding contribution & health care innovation.

During COVID-19, he rendered exemplary Service in being a Frontline Physician and Public Health Advocate. His services during COVID-19 played a pivotal role in balance in the dual burden of Communicable and non-communicable disease with the urgent viral outbreak, by safeguarding continual care of thousands of people.

Started his Medical practices in Tuticorin a Tier II city in Tamil Nadu in the Year 1977. He Wanted to focus on Medical Emergencies. He will be attending on patients all the 24 hours, Till today No Time Limit His Services and at affordable cost and public liked him and his services.

With the support of public he slowly grew his health service from 5 beds to 100 beds. All his family Members are also Doctors and Strengthening his hands in Health care. Upto the healthcare services his Hospitals in offering at Minimal Cost round the clock.

Dr. S. Arulrhaj is also a pioneer in Education through his Foundation, which is a public charitable trust registered in the year 1995 and is rendering Health & Educational Services for the population in and around Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. SAH foundation initiated by the visionary founder Dr. S. Arulrhaj to render services to the poor and downtrodden in this part of country including Rural Camps, Free-OPs, Para Medical Education and Rural Health centers.

His non stopped services to the poor are poor man ward & offering care to the reach the unreached.

He is the first Doctor to start Ultrasound Scan & CT for common man in & around Tuticorin with affordable cost.
